Age Groupers At 2016 Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico

Age groupers were competing for bragging rights and 30 slots to the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Mooloolaba.

Athletes started the day with a 1.2-mile swim in the protected waters of Condado Lagoon, then proceeded to a 56-mile bike ride over the northern part of the island to Dorado and on to the challenging cross-winds near the Atlantic Ocean. The two-loop, 13.1-mile run course took athletes through the northern part of the islet with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Spanish architecture. Age groupers were competing for bragging rights and 30 slots to the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Australia.
