In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we bring you a holiday-themed drill set. Although we’re pretty sure you’re not going to bring potatoes or a chalice to the pool, we still loved the idea given to us from our friend’s morning masters program in San Diego.

Drill Set, all 50s
Alternate between four props:
1. Swim with a potato in each hand (Fist Drill)
2. Swim with leprechaun hat on. Keep your head out of water the whole time for sighting (Tarzan Drill)
3. Swim with a green chalice out in front of you (Catchup Drill)
4. Swim with an ugly green shirt on (just plain hard)

Root Beer Relay
Each person swims to the center of the pool, turns around, and once back at the wall, slams a Dixie cup of root beer. Then the next person goes.
