Featuring a springy and protective Boost midsole and Gore-Tex waterproof bootie, the close-fitting, low-profile Terrex Agravic XT GTX feel as protective as Paddington’s red Wellington boots. The Continental rubber outsole is worth its relative heft, providing noteworthy traction on rocky, sloppy, and wet trail surfaces, and the lugs are strategically placed for uphill grip, downhill braking, and minimal mud retention. The shoe has surprising flex and ground feel, given the amount of outsole rubber, midsole Boost, and Gore-Tex layer.
