Jens Voigt averaged 32 miles per hour while wearing a Ballista to set the hour record in 2014. With that kind of pedigree behind it, it might come as a surprise that the Ballista is comfortable, low profile, and versatile enough for everyday use. This helmet’s strap system does the job, though other manufacturers offer simpler and tidier solutions. Beyond that, the BOA retention system secures the helmet well, but note that the Ballista does seem to fit about a half-size small.
