The Draw: Low Cost with Full Control

This is one of the lowest-cost options for getting into the fully controllable trainer scene—meaning you’ll be able to have your trainer replicate a given grade or course, as well as specify a given wattage level. The Smart Go can hold wattages up to 800w, which is more than enough for the vast majority of triathlete training plans and workouts. But in the event you want to throw down on Zwift, it can still replicate up to 8 percent grades. The only catch is that while it does ANT+ FE-C, and has support for Bluetooth Smart, it’s 3rd party compatibility on Bluetooth Smart isn’t as widespread as some other trainers.
