Great Britain’s Lucy Charles gave defending Kona champion Daniela Ryf a fight on Saturday, leading out of the swim and charging off the front for most of the bike ride. With a runner-up performance in her pro Kona debut, Charles put herself in comfortable company among greats like Daniela Ryf and Mirinda Carfrae who also finished second in their first Kona performance.
