Luke McKenzie (AUS) and his fiancé Beth Gerdes (USA) will both compete at Saturday’s Ironman World Championship. McKenzie will look to replicate his 2013 effort, which earned him the second spot on the podium, while Gerdes will be looking to make her mark in her first attempt at this race as a pro. The pair spent Sunday morning swimming the Ironman World Championship course. As McKenzie tells us, they turned in a couple of harder efforts and focused on the importance of sighting and dealing with the currents.
