Chi Wo Edges Strong Field To Win Japan’s 2009 Amakusa Triathlon

Hong Kong’s Daniel Chi Wo (1:50:44) out-raced a competitive field in the 2009 Amakusa ITU Triathlon Premium Asian Cup to win on Sunday, May 24. Chi Wo beat second-place finisher, Australian Dane Robinson, by two seconds. The top five men all crossed the line within five seconds of Chi Wo. Japan’s Hidecko Kikuchi (2:03:10) won the women’s race, after making up a one-minute swim deficit, to top Akane Tsuchihashi by 35 seconds by the end of the run.
