With frigid water and outdoor temperatures plaguing Boise, Matt Reed and several other pros chose to wear wetsuits on the shortened (15 miles) bike portion of Ironman 70.3 Boise to try to stay warm. “It was pretty restricting, and I lost quite a bit of power and I was slipping off the seat a lot,” Matt says. “But I was warm.
