As part of his summer training – and to help support the MaccaNOW Cancer Foundation – Chris McCormack is filming some of his Alpine rides and training sessions.
Here is a description and video of day two of the camp:
“An eight hour training day is always tough. Day two of our training camp was epic. The Gorge Du Verdon is absolutely incredible. The climbing is brutal. On June 16. 2010 we climbed exactly 15897 feet today in 116 miles. It was a long tough day in the saddle and the last climb to our hotel at the Palais De Verdon in the town of La Pulude was killer: 10 miles and 3000 feet. An epic training day for day two. Big day planned tomorrow into Avignon, but first a two hour run before breakfast.”
