American Jordan Rapp was injured in a bike accident Tuesday afternoon in Oxnard, Calif. Rapp’s good friend and fellow triathlete, Simon Whitfield, provided an update on his blog.

According to Whitfield the prognosis for Rapp is that he will fully recover. Rapp is able to communicate and the doctors expect to remove his breathing tube and take him off the ventilator within the next couple of days as long as his progress continues.
