Emma Snowsill and organizers of the ITU world championship series race on the Gold Coast will be sweating on results of tests on her injured hip after returning home from the Australian triathlon team base in France.
The Olympic champion was forced to withdraw from the ITU World Championship Series in Kitzbuhel, Austria with a hip injury.
Snowsill was an outside chance of making her return to racing this weekend in Hamburg, however Triathlon Australia confirmed she has returned home in a bid to find the cause of the problem.
Triathlon Australia spokesman Jeremy Wilshire said Snowsill would wait until she received the results of scans on her injury before commenting.
