Less than a week before race day, the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon has announced a chance to its bike course. The group released the following announcement to its athletes:
Further to the final police meetings regarding the bicycle section for the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon and having been notified of the arrival and subsequent security impact of an International Deligation, the bicycle section has been amended. The organisers remain confident however that the new routing will continue to deliver a premium triathlon experience for all competitors in Abu Dhabi.
