Fan favorite Lionel Sanders will be looking to power through the Ironman World Championship bike course on his Canyon Speedmax CF SLX, size small.
Sanders’ Canyon Speedmax CF SLX rolls with HED Jet Black wheels, 60mm up front paired with the Jet RCD Aero disc.
His cockpit features the popular Drag2Zero bars.
Sanders runs a Shimano Dura-Ace 55/42 chainring with an 11-30 rear cassette and 165mm cranks. He is one of only a handful of pros riding the new CeramicSpeed Aero OSPW derailleur cage, due to be released next month.
His HED wheels are wrapped with Continental GP 5000 tires, both 25mm, which he’ll run at 90 PSI on race day.
Hydration is kept in his Elite Crono CX bottle.
X-Lab Gorilla cages tucked behind his Gebiomized Stride saddle will store spares and fuel.
Sanders will be keeping tabs on his metrics on race day via his Wahoo Bolt computer.
He will be getting his data via his Favero Assioma Duo power meter and will be putting the power through his Favero Assioma Duo pedals.
Sanders is hoping for a smooth day in the saddle on his Gebiomized Stride.
Bike fitter Ivan O’Gorman leaves his mark on Sanders’ bike. He has helped dial in Sanders’ position and optimal fit.
Surprisingly, Sanders is running rim brakes.
The team at CeramicSpeed has worked hard behind the scenes to ensure Sanders’ drivetrain is running as smoothly as possible tomorrow.
Most definitely a contender for the title, Sanders looks fit and raring to go.
