Heather Fuhr has a penchant for going the distance. She’s won 25 Ironman titles around the world–including the the 1997 Ironman World Championship–and has most recently established herself as one of the top ultrarunners in the United States. In March of last year, she broke the course record in winning the Catalina Marathon and in December she  finished second overall at the Ridgecrest 50K and broke the legendary Ann Trason’s course record. And just last weekend she finished second at the Catalina 50 Miler in another course record of 6 hours and 50 minutes.
