This weekend, a stunning list of triathlon superstars will descend upon Singapore for the fast and furious PTO Asian Open. The race, which will close out this year’s PTO racing series (look for even more races next year) brings the best short- and long-course triathletes together to battle it out over the 100K “PTO distance” – a 2-kilometer swim, 80-kilometer bike, and 18-kilometer run. But if you’re in North America, you’ll have to pull a late shift to watch: the races kick off at 2:00 Eastern this Friday and Saturday, and will be streamed live for free on Outside Watch. Not a fan of all-nighters? Coverage will also be available on demand post-race for Outside+ members (become one today).
The PTO Asian Open course
The 2023 PTO Tour may have saved its best location for last. The Singapore cityscape will provide an amazing backdrop to the event, with a swim in Marina Bay and a bike-run through the city streets. These streets will likely be lined with fans of triathlon – not just from Singapore, but worldwide, as this event will also host a 100K for age-groupers. Combined, this should make for a vibrant race with plenty of jaw-dropping moments.
