This month, we’re tagging along with former pro and current senior/gear editor Chris Foster as he finishes up his preparation for the Santa Barbara Tri at the end of August. In this triathlon training video, Foster will walk viewers through his sessions and post the sets, his own numbers, and a list of the gear he uses in each workout below. Bike/Run Brick:

Warm-up
15 minutes easy spin w/4x :15 surge to 8/10 effort

Main Set
4 x (4 minutes bike at 8/10, right into 800 at 8/10; 2:00 easy spin)

Cooldown
15 minutes easy spin

 

Round 1 – 242W, 2:33

Round 2 – 254W, 2:27

500 easy swim w/5 x :15 bursts
