April 10's Marquee Triathlon, which was set to feature sprint, Olympic and half-iron distances, was forced into a duathlon after concerns about E. coli surfaced thanks to the 0.2 inches of rain the Phoenix-area received the day before the race.

On Saturday, Nov. 6 Tempe Town Lake welcomed a few hundred athletes into the waters for a DCB Extreme Adventures Open-Water Swim Event.
November 21's Ironman Arizona looks to be on track as the process of refilling Tempe Town Lake began today in Tempe, Ariz. Officials expect the lake to be re-opened by October 25, nearly one full month before the Ironman date.
According to several local Phoenix-area news sources the dam at Tempe Town Lake is nearing completion and should be ready to be re-filled in time for the Nov. 1 deadline.
