Despite a lack of prize money at the Leadman Marquee Tempe event, a few professional athletes chose to toe the line and test their early-season fitness.

Life Time Fitness will move its spring Leadman race from Las Vegas to Tempe.

The inaugural Leadman Epic 250 event will entail a 5K swim, 223K bike and 22K run and will take place May 14, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev.
