Tribe

We loved the creamy texture and smooth taste of the Mediterranean-style flavor of Tribe, which featured olive oil and paprika on top of traditional hummus. While this all-natural option was our favorite from the staff taste test, it also had the most calories per serving (70) and the most sodium (120 mg). $2.99, Tribehummus.com

Try it: Mix into an Alfredo sauce over pasta to lower the calorie count; use it as a dip for sliced bell peppers.

Cedar’s

Cedar’s named this flavor “zesty lemon,” and the title is spot on—this hummus has a robust lemon flavor. And it’s no wonder—the ingredients include lemon peel, lemon zest and lemon oil. Each serving contains 60 calories and just 85 mg of sodium. $3.99, Cedarsfoods.com

Try it: Punch up your salad’s flavor by replacing dressing with hummus; plunge in some pita chips.
