Ironman 70.3 St. George, which will host the 2015 Ironman 70.3 North American Pro Championship tomorrow, features one of the toughest courses on the 70.3 circuit. The race, which was a full-distance Ironman from 2010 to 2012, is also notorious for its tough and variable conditions. Susan Lacke shares images from the swim, bike and run course in Southern Utah.

– Athletes should note that access to Sand Hollow is extremely limited—to ensure they can get to the start line on time, competitors are advised to take shuttles provided for those racing. Buses will depart from T2 between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. Spectator shuttles are not provided to Sand Hollow.
– Like Sand Hollow, access to Snow Canyon will be limited to spectators, though some park at the top of the climb and walk down into the canyon. The best place for spectators can be found at the town square of St. George, where T2 and the finish line are located.
– Athletes hoping to secure a place at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships should stick around for the awards ceremony. Spots frequently roll down in many age groups.
