This latest option from Italy-based Castelli is truly made for short- course racing (as the name implies). There are no pockets, and it looks and feels like an ITU suit—especially with the rear zipper. For those focusing on the short stuff, it’s hard to find something more comfortable—and fun—than this piece. The Short Distance Race Suit is high quality from top (the high neck is super flexible and forgiving) to bottom (the feel of the unique fabric used to grip the legs is excellent). The padding is the most comfortable of any tri suit tested, and testers didn’t experience any chafing or uncomfortable spots. If you’re looking for an option purely for short course, then this is it.
