Three hundred bucks is nothing to scoff at, but that still places this suit on the low end of the wetsuit spend spectrum. At this price, the P:1 Propel still gives quite a bit. No, the shoulders aren’t super flexible—this suit favors a shorter, choppy stroke as you might use in rougher conditions. But the P:1 Propel will place you in an optimal position to speed through the water, float your hips when you sight so you don’t wear out your back, keep you warm, and give you a big rotational boost to keep you in that ideal swimming-on-your-side position. Big bonus: It’s as easy to put on as it is to take off.
