The Draw: Svelte and Smooth

The original Newton model launched in 2007. This upgrade gives it a new, seamless, highly breathable upper (that translated to cold tester feet in winter conditions) and weighs less for a lighter feel. The foam midsole is quite responsive, and the shoe impressed with its snug, racing-flat feel that still allowed for toe splay and a staccato bounce-back in the forefoot. The cushioning throughout the shoe was quite ample, given the Distance performs more like a racing shoe.
