The Draw: Rocker sole

The Speed Mix is an anomaly. Yes, it’s super lightweight with a plush mesh upper that breaths, and it offers superb cushioning (especially at the midfoot) to soften the ride. But it also has a heel-to-toe rocker sole that may help runners with foot ailments—although the feel takes some getting used to. The Speed Mix also comes with removable, moisture-wicking OrthoLite insoles to help keep feet dry. Note: This isn’t a shoe for high-mileage runners, as the outsole is literally squishy to the touch. So, if you fall in love with the Speed Mix (you might—the comfort factor is huge), expect to replace these runners much more frequently than other brands.
