A long-awaited update to the Polar line, the Vantage V features a super-accurate (wrist-based) four-way heart-rate sensor, unbelievable analytics, and built-in running cadence and running power (accuracy is hit-or-miss here). The post-workout stats are excellent, and Polar’s built-in coaching software is impressive, but the biggest weakness at writing is the lack of smartphone notifications and a few software bugs—updates are promised.
