Inside Gwen Jorgensen’s Gear Bag

2014 ITU world champion Gwen Jorgensen offers us a peek into her bag to reveal the stuff she just can’t travel without.

Groomed from a stellar swimmer-runner into a world-class triathlete through USA Triathlon’s Collegiate Recruitment Program, Jorgensen has gone from 2010 rookie to 2012 Olympian to ITU world champion in 2014. She continues to set ITU records with five WTS wins last season, and hopes to earn a place on the 2016 U.S. Olympic team. Jorgensen offered us a peek into her bag to reveal the stuff she just can’t travel without.

“I don’t like being cold. This year I raced in my thermal cap in every race but one—I even raced in it when it was not a wetsuit swim.”
