Your friends and family can now track your workouts and races in real time.
A data storage device that uploads your metrics in real time, this little black box differs from other computers or tracking devices in that it broadcasts your data live rather than showing it to you on a screen while you’re training or racing. When you finish your activity, your data is pushed to Quarq’s proprietary software platform and other third-party platforms such as Strava, Today’s Plan or TrainingPeaks. Compatible with any ANT+ device, anyone following you can view your heart rate, power, speed and other metrics in real time. Overall, the Qollector is simple to set up and use on a daily basis. With battery life of a full day, it’s a smart choice for safety-conscious triathletes—and their fans.
- Tuck the Qollector in a jersey pocket, use the bike mount ($40) or a run belt with custom pouch ($8) to take it with you as you work out. It’s smaller than an iPhone 6 and is waterproof, so you can wear it swimming.
- The LED lights show if you have paired to a power meter, heart rate monitor or “other” device. When paired, the Qollector will also vibrate to let you know you have successfully paired the device.
- The LED lights indicate that the unit is on, the strength of your cellular connection, GPS signal and battery life.
- Battery life is up to 24 hours, making it by far the longest-lasting tracking device available. It charges using a micro-USB connection.
