Flat kits can be cumbersome and the opposite of aerodynamic, which is why we thought “great idea!” when we first saw Xlab’s new Gear Box Kit. The stealth zip-up cylinder fits into nearly all bottle cages, so you can easily toss it in the cage behind your saddle or easily switch it between bikes without re-rigging your set-up. Plus, with all the tools you need inside, it eliminates the need to buy everything individually. The Gear Box comes stocked with a muti-tool kit, Speed Chuck inflator, two CO2 cartridges, a patch kit and two tire levers (the tube is not included so that you can choose one of your preference). Already have all the goods? It’s also available empty so you can stock it yourself for $25. Items are separated onto two sides so you’re not stuck fumbling around on the side of the road looking for what you need.
