For flat-out, straight-line tri speed, there are fewer bikes more focused than the Ventum One. Built 100 percent with the triathlete (long-course, specifically) in mind, this non-UCI legal frameset is all about aerodynamics, comfort, and real-world hydration. Though it probably won’t win any town-line sprints—stand- up response is not a selling point—the smooth road feel and stability of this setup are all about putting out a great bike split and arriving into T2 ready to run, rather than tense and fried. The One is the type of bike to plug into and tune out on. For right at $10k, this setup is out-of-the-box race ready with no need for upgrades, unless extremely marginal gains are the name of the game.
