The Draw: Technically advanced time-saver

The Trivent is a sprint or ITU triathlete’s choice for precious time savings in T1. The Trivent includes a ventilated stock insole, a rubbery/leathery liner that provides exceptional comfort for wet and sockless feet, and unique to shoes in this category is an Arch-mounted Launch Clip for flying mounts (and yes, it works great!). This shoe also differentiates itself with a “Tri-Specific Drawbridge” heel closure. With an open heel that magnetically attaches to the rear of the shoe, the Trivent looks more like a chef’s clog when open. When secured, a BOA closure system wraps around the back of the foot/Achilles tendon. This system is either love or hate. For some, the heel may sit too low to provide a secure fit, and although the carbon sole is plenty stiff, some may lose power in an upper that provides excessive give. This setup needs a try-out period to know if they’re your perfect pair.
