The Draw: Solid, No-Frills Performer

Featuring a design that has largely gone unchanged for years, SIDI’s T-4 may not have the bells and whistles of other shoes in the tri category, but its strength is based on an incredible fit and a well-shaped last that somehow feels more like a full-featured road shoe than a tri shoe with only two straps. Boasting a very comfy liner—one of the best for barefoot riding—and a sti upper that retains its structure when putting on mid-ride, the T-4 gets the simple things right. Though this model is dubbed the “air,” it’s not substantially cooler than many of the other shoes we tested–though the perforated upper does a good job of drying post–T1.
