The Draw: Affordable and Durable Rear-Mounted Bottle Carrier

Profile’s RML system tucks one or two water bottles neatly behind an athlete by attaching to saddle rails, and while the system is quite versatile in its ability to work even with oddly shaped triathlon saddles, it might not be a good choice on oval-shaped carbon rails due to the shape of the clamp. The RML really shines in adjustability: You’ll get lots of leeway to adjust the angle the unit attaches to a saddle to your liking, and the included Profile Kage water bottle cages provide a tight grip which prevents quite a bit of bottle launching—though it can occasionally be tricky to get a bottle back in after taking a drink. Despite boasting a super-low price tag for this category, the RML is still surprisingly lightweight.
