As Princeton Carbon’s new wheelset bears a slight resemblance to the Zipp 454s, it’s easy to make comparisons. On the plus side, riders will save $1,800 buying the Wake 6560 over the 454s, and at speed it’s tough to notice much difference. These are definitely fast and stable wheels. White Industry hubs and Sapim CX-Ray spokes round off a top-notch setup, but on the down side, the braking inspires less confidence. As a new kid on the block, Princeton’s aggressive aero claims require more scientific investigation, which hopefully will come soon.
