The Draw: Bells, Whistles

When Garneau put together this shoe, they took the long list of features that triathletes love and piled them all into one model. The TRI-400 literally over- flows with bells and whistles: a rarely-seen-on-tri-shoes BOA retention system, a super-ventilated outsole, a unique fabric for excellent heel-retention on the insole, heel reflectors, toe and heel bumpers, and an interesting little loop on the instep for on-bike positioning in T1. The TRI-400’s insole is best described as “plush,” and the last is a good fit, but maybe the least-refined at the pricepoint. Regardless, the various accoutrements on this shoe still prove it to be a good choice for racing and everyday training at all distances.
