Lezyne Mega XL

The Draw: Bulletproof but modern

Lezyne’s new cycling computer may look like a bike computer from an older era, but the processing power of the Mega XL is cutting edge. Boasting a large black-and-white screen, this relatively lightweight unit will run far longer than most of its flashier competition (up to 48 hours). Strong offline mapping also helps with the Mega XL’s ability to sustain itself, free from a smartphone. But the screens and settings can be slightly difficult to navigate—use Lezyne’s app to make the setup easier. That said, being able to use the screen either horizontally or vertically—along with a bevy of display options—makes it a good choice for those who value function over form, and don’t mind a learning curve.
