The Draw: Tight handler, smooth ride

While Giant’s upper-level bike, the Trinity Advanced Pro, is highly modular and entirely unique, the basic Trinity Advanced model is a much more standard setup that triathletes should feel more comfortable with. Without the super stiff (and slightly unwieldy) front end of its big brother, this setup handles much more predictably and actually cuts corners so sharp it may take some getting used to. Both the ride quality and the stand-up responsiveness on the Trinity Advanced land way on the softer side of the spectrum, so this is a good choice for those who regularly train and race on rough roads. While most of the components are fairly standard for the price range, the ISM saddle—over something more generic—is a nice touch.
