The Draw: Roomy But Light

This case is spacious at 50”x 30”x 10”, yet svelte at 17.5lbs—exactly what you would expect from a company that has focused on the mountain bike market. The EVOC Bike Travel Bag Pro was designed with a full suspension, 30-pound mountain bike in mind. With road bike and gear loaded, this baby rolled around with ease. However, set up took some work: A total of eight glass-fiber and hard-plastic rods are inserted for structure and protection with bars, wheels, and pedal removal required. While the seat stays in, it may need to be lowered; nylon straps wrap around the fork, chainstays, and seat post to hold your ride in place. While this bag was big enough, it was the little things we loved: an easy access, non-secured external pocket, T-handles on the zippers, rotor protection in the wheel slots, inline-skate wheels for a smooth ride, and a clip-on front wheel.
