The Draw: Advanced bike for advanced riders

Dimond is another tri-only brand that makes a very unique, non-traditional (and non-UCI legal) frame. Though it doesn’t boast the internal hydration of the other non-traditional frames, the X-Cut’s aerodynamic design is tough to beat for flat, fast courses. With a slightly softer ride than the already-soft Ventum, the response is also not super snappy. Unlike the Ventum, however, the X-Cut’s handling is slightly more nimble and aggressive, but a bit less stable during in-aero descents. This is a bike for those who like to cut corners quickly and handle technical courses with the aero benefits of a non- diamond design. For those looking to get into electronic shifting on a superbike frame, the X-Cut is also a great value for well under $7k.
