The safety-smart people behind Road ID recently released a free app to add even more peace of mind to your ride. The two main features:
eCrumb Tracking Instead of your spouse or family members wondering (and worrying) why your three-hour ride is taking you five, they can track you in real time on a map as you ride. It’s as simple as texting anyone on your contact list to tell them what you’re doing (“going for ride”) and how long you intend to be gone. You can also set up a “stationary alert” that will notify your contacts if you stop moving for five minutes.
Lock Screen It’s such a simple but brilliant concept—customize your phone’s lock screen with vital information for First Responders (name, address, emergency contacts, important medical information) so they have all they need in case of an accident, even if your phone is locked.
