After a convincing win at Ironman World Championships in St. George in May, Swiss superstar Daniela Ryf is back on the Big Island ready to reclaim her title. This year, she’ll be riding the all-new Felt IA 2.0 with some eyebrow-raising modifications—read below for our detailed gallery.

Ryf is using Shimano Di2 Dura Ace 11-speed with an 11-28 cassette for shifting duties out on the Queen K.
A giant 56/44t chainring on her Rotor Aldhu crankset is ready to put out watts for race day. Interesting note: Ryf is not measuring power.
Ryf’s pedals of choice are the Look Keo Carbon-Ti.
On race day, Ryf is using DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT wheels with a 80mm rear, 62mm front.
For tires, Ryf has chosen a set of 25mm Continental GP5000 TRs.
On the inside of her fork, Ryf has a custom “Angry Bird” decal.
Like many pros, Ryf is using a deep cup aerobar like this custom setup from sponsor Swisside.
Between Ryf’s custom aerobars rests an X-Lab Gorilla carbon cage for hydration.
Even more striking than Ryf’s custom extension setup is the total (and intentional) absence of a bike computer.
A 3-D-printed back end cap seals off Ryf’s custom extensions, keeping a clean line of flowing air.
Possibly the most striking thing about Ryf’s race-day setup (aside from no power meter or cycling computer at all) is her choice to remove the top tube storage from her IA 2.0.
Just behind the missing storage compartment, Ryf’s intimidating race number is simple but effective.
Ryf is riding the Selle Italia Turbomatic GelFlow on race day.
Off the back of the Selle Italia saddle, Ryf’s extra hydration is stored in another X-Lab Gorilla XT carbon cage.
