Kiwi Braden Currie has made a name for himself by simultaneously flying under the radar and always outperforming the experts. With a third-place finish at Ironman World Championships in St. George in May and two top-ten finishes in Kona, Currie should be considered dangerous—especially aboard his new Felt IA 2.0 with some amazing custom touches. Braden Currie’s size 54 Felt IA 2.0 has more than a few custom aerodynamic touches in addition to the already-integrated features on the frame itself.
Currie is running a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-Speed setup—his wheels will be a different set on race day.
On race day, Currie will use am 11-28 cassette.
In keeping with his all-Shimano setup, Currie is running a Shimano Dura-Ace power meter on a staggering 58t big chainring to measure how hard he’s pushing out on the road.
Currie is all-Shimano with Dura-Ace pedals.
Custom touches like this Maori-inspired drawing appear on Currie’s IA 2.0 as “something to remember when [he’s] suffering.”
Currie is particularly proud of his custom First Wheel cockpit.
Currie’s one-piece cockpit has space to carry 22 gels in the front storage—which he’ll take through one of his two straws.
One straw supplies hydration, one supplies nutrition on Currie’s unique setup.
Currie’s shifters are tucked neatly into his aero extensions.
For data, Currie will use a Garmin Edge 830, tightly packed between his armrests.
Currie’s unique custom aerobars sit atop the new IA 2.0 base bar cockpit for a sleek frontal profile.
Custom-molded titanium risers round out Currie’s sleek (and unique) front end.
The new Felt IA 2.0 has plenty of storage and integrated hydration in the frame itself.

Currie is using the gebioMized STRIDE TT/Triathlon Saddle.
