With a deep short-course resume that includes seven top-10 finishes at WTCS events—including a silver at the 2017 WTS Abu Dhabi—Tom Bishop has only recently been making a name for himself on the long-course scene. Last year, Bishop was fourth at Challenge Wales and Clash Daytona and second at Challenge Peguera Mallorca. This year, Bishop has already struck twice with a win at Challenge Puerto Varas and a second-place finish at Clash Miami. Look for a strong swim and bike from the 31-year-old Brit on Saturday. Rarely seen in North American racing, Bishop will be riding a Vitus Aero in size small.
Further adding to the “Euro-mystique” is Bishop’s Revolver Asymm disc.
Bishop is running a mixture of SRAM Red and Rival eTap components and a 10-33 cassette.
Like many pros this weekend, Bishop will be using a 1x setup. For the race in Ibiza, he’ll run a 54-tooth chainring, 156mm cranks, a Stages power meter, and Speedplay pedals.
Up front, Bishop will use a Revolver Troikamax Tri Spike wheel.
Bishop has chosen to go with Continental GP 5000 TTs in 25mm.
