American Josiah Middaugh won the XTERRA U.S. Pro Series for the third straight year, and has been runner-up in the world championship two of past three years. Last year marked the seventh time Middaugh has finished as the top American at worlds. He comes to Maui this year with the confidence from a late-season winning streak: “I feel stronger than last year; I think I can do it.”
