Top British Triathletes Teach Masterclass To Contest Winners
Three of Great Britain's Olympic hopefuls, Alistair Brownlee, Jonathan Brownlee and Helen Jenkins, gave a masterclass to competition winners as part of six "money-can't-buy" experiences at the GE Ultimate World Champion Triathlon Day.

Three of Great Britain’s Olympic hopefuls, Alistair Brownlee, Jonathan Brownlee and Helen Jenkins, gave a masterclass to competition winners as part of six “money-can’t-buy” experiences at the GE Ultimate World Champion Triathlon Day.
Alastair Brownlee, the 2009 ITU Triathlon World Champion, and his brother Jonathan, the 2009 ETU European Junior Triathlon Champion, joined top female British triathlete Helen Jenkins to pass on their experience and advice at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds, United Kingdom.
Alistair Brownlee told insidethegames: “It has been really enjoyable for me to come here as it has been a really good experience.
“Obviously it has been great for the people here to have a top quality masterclass and speak to triathletes like myself, Jonathan and Helen but it has also been a good chance for us to look really closely at all the new technologies involved in training for triathlon.
“It is always great to get a different view of your sport, particularly this year as it is a huge one for me.
“My priority is qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics and hopefully I can reproduce the consistency I showed in 2009 when I became world champion.
“I’m looking forward to 2011 and doing well this year as I really want to go into 2012 in the best possible shape ahead of the Olympic Games.”
As well as the triathlon masterclass, led by award-winning coaches including Simon Ward, the competition winners also received entry for themselves and a friend into the Olympic Distance Age Group Race at the 2011 Dextro Energy Triathlon London in Hyde Park from August 6-7.
