The Big Island Toteboard: Part II

chrissiebikeforweb1For round two of the Big Island Toteboard, I’m handing out odds for the ladies. I’ll be the first to admit that I was considerably less excited about doing the women’s odds than the men’s. Thanks to Chrissie Wellington and her inability to lose, the odds on the women’s side become seemingly irrelevant after the odds-on favorite.

Chrissie is more clutch than Kobe, but makes it look as easy as Lebron. She always finds a way to win. Sometimes it’s on the bike; sometimes it’s on the run; sometimes it’s after chilling on the side of Akoni Pule Highway for 10 minutes with a flat. Chrissie’s odds are as close to even-money as it gets:

  1. Chrissie Wellington (GBR) – 5:4
  2. Yvonne Van Vlerken (NED) – 10:1
  3. Sandra Wallenhorst (GER) – 15:1
  4. Linsey Corbin (USA) – 18:1
  5. Erika Csomor (HUN) – 18:1
  6. Virgina Berasategui (ESP) – 20:1
  7. Belinda Granger (AUS) – 25:1
  8. Bella Bayliss (GBR) – 30:1
  9. Gina Fergusson (NZL) – 32:1
  10. Joanna Lawn – 40:1

First 5 Out: Sam McGlone (CAN), Kate Major (AUS), Dede Griesbauer (USA), Rebekah Keat (AUS), Natascha Badmann (SUI)
