Sanders, Clifford Take 70.3 Muncie Victories

Canada’s Lionel Sanders and the United States’ Ashley Clifford came out on top at today’s Ironman 70.3 Muncie in Indiana.

Sanders put together a 26:31 swim, a 2:02:20 bike and a blistering 1:10:54 half-marathon to claim the 3:42:48 win. He crossed ahead of Josh Amberger (AUS) in second and Andrew Starykowicz (USA) in third.

Clifford dominated the women’s race, putting together a 26:41 swim, a 2:21:04 bike and a 1:24:54 run to cross the finish line in 4:16:21. Hallie Blunck (USA) earned second narrowly ahead of Beth Shutt (USA) in third.
