Spain’s Javier Gomez continued his domination of the 2013 season by earning the victory at the opening race for the ITU World Triathlon Series in Auckland. Gomez’s countryman Mario Mola kept pace with Gomez through much of the run and earned an impressive second-place finish. Portugal’s Joao Silva earned the bronze position. Read the race recap.
