The first day at the Island House Invitational Triathlon showcased some short and intense racing, with the 20 contenders going against the clock during an individual time trial of a 300m swim, 7K bike and 2K run to determine overall standings in the general classification. The prologue kicked off the three-day, multi-format race in Highbourne Cay in the Bahamas, where some of the world’s best athletes are competing for a $500,000 prize purse.
