Since 2013, the ITU WTS Hamburg race has hosted the Mixed Relay World Championships. In the unique format, each athlete completes a 300-meter swim, 6.6km bike and a 1.6-mile run before tagging off a teammate. A total of four team members, two women and two men, complete the course. The thrilling race almost always ends in a sprint to the finish. This year France scored its first World Championship title in a down-to-the-line fight. Recap the race.
